Sleek Graphite Palette Swatches!

Hey!
I'm back again with another lot of swatches, this time for the Sleek Graphite Palette.

First things first...If you love grey and purple, you'll really like this palette, because aside from the two highlight shades the rest of the shadows are varying shades of these colours.

These were all swatched over the top of a sheer layer of NYX's Jumbo Pencil in Milk, so that the eyeshadows had something to grab onto, and to give a better idea of the colours.

Here's what the palette looks like :)

Below are swatches of the first row of shadows first in natural light, then also with a soft flash:

The first shade is a frost finished white shade, would be a really nice inner corner of the eye highlight.
The second shade is also a frosty pale peach toned highlight shade.
The thrid shade is a medium toned silver with a pale silver sheen to it and a Satin finish.
The fourth shade is a slightly more grey based version of the previous shade with the same sheen and finish.
The last two shades in the row are extremely similar, which is a little disappointing, the sixth shade in the row is maybe the tiniest  bit darker but only just.

Next up are photos of the swatches of the second row of this palette, again in natural light first, then with a soft flash:

The first shade in this row is a dark steel grey and Satin finish.
The second shade is a really nice black with a really dark grey/silver sheen to it, this shade is also in the Bad Girl palette.
The thrid shade is a standard matte black is pretty decently pigmented even without a base.
The fourth shade has a cool-toned bluish grey base, with purple and blue shimmer throughout.
The fifth shade is a Satin, very greyish purple base with a pink/purple sheen to it.
The final shade is a gorgeous violet base with a slightly blue sheen and Satin finish.

Overall I like this palette but the thing that bugs me about it is a lot of the silver/dark grey shades in it are really similar to each other. The differences are that subtle that its hard to really pick up on them unless you look really closely, but as always the shadows are very pigmented and blend very easily.

I think if I had to chose between this palette and the Bad Girl one though, I would rather have Bad Girl, as there is a bit more of a range in the shades within it than the Graphite one.

Where To Buy:

The only place I know where you can buy this palette now is on Ebay, as it is no longer on the Sleek website and I think it was a Limited Edition, so you may have to pay a bit more for it if you still want to get your hands on it.

Sleek Storm Palette Swatches

Heya Kitties!

Long time no blog! Sorry its been kinda quiet on the post front but hopefully whats coming soon will make up for it! :D I had a major swatch-a-thon with all the Sleek Makeup eyeshadow palettes I own, so stay tuned for a whole lotta posts! Haha

First off is the Storm palette!
The overall first impressions for this palette is that if your a fan of more neutral shades and browns for everyday wear, then you'll probably like this palette. And it also has a few coloured shades just incase you wanted to vamp up your everyday look for the nighttime. A lot of the shades in this palette have a Satin finish to them so I'll state which ones have a different finish.

Below is a picture of what the palette looks like to give you a general idea of the shades it contains. It was taken in natural light without the flash:

I forgot to bring my primer/base with me that I normally use for swatching, but I did have my NYX Jumbo Pencil in Milk with me so I used that for most of the swatches, apart from the matte black shadow, that I swatched over Urban Decay Primer Potion just to get a truer swatch of it as the Milk pencil may have made it look slightly lighter on the photos.

Here are the swatches of the first row of the palette, in natural daylight/no flash:

And here with a soft flash to give you a better idea of the shimmer described below of some of the shades:

The first shade is a lovely golden shade, with very soft tan undertones. It has a gorgeous golden, almost peachy sheen to it in the light.
The second shade is a very light champagne colour with a subtle pale gold sheen to it. It is the lightest shade in the palette and would work really nicely as a highlight.
The third shade is a soft Matte finish camel/tan shade, which I think would work really well as a transitional crease colour to blend other shadows into, to smooth out any harsh lines. it also has pretty decent pigmentation for a matte shade.
The fourth shade is another golden shadow but this one is much more of a 'true' gold, than the first shade and doesn't read as peachy, and has a definite golden sheen.
The fifth shade is a very pretty 'rose gold' with a peachy undertone to it, and also the same peachyness in the shimmer.
The last shade in this row is a really nice cranberry Satin shade with a copper sheen to it in the light.

Onto Row 2 ^.^
This row has a lot more darker shades in it than the first.
Again below are swatches in natural light, then followed by pictures taken with a soft flash

The first shade in this row is a warm toned medium/dark brown with an awesome golden copper sheen when the light hits it.
The second shade is very Gunmetal grey type shade with a nice sheen to it. There is a similar shade in the Bad Girl palette which will be posted soon too.
The third shade is one of my favourites and is a sort of blackened forest green. There is again a similar shade in the Bad girl palette but this one has slightly more of a blue undertone to it.
The fourth shade is a grey toned based with a purple sheen to it, with lots of pretty blue and purple shimmer throughout.
The fifth shade is a deep medium cool-toned brown with a Matte finish, but takes a bit of work to get it to look like it does in the pan as the pigmentation isn't that great, especially without some kind of sticky base underneath it.
And finally is a Matte black shade, again not the most pigmented eyeshadow in the palette and takes a little bit of building up.

I really do love Sleek palettes the pigmentation is nearly always awesome, but the last two shades in the second row of this palette kinda let it down a little, but other than that it is a really nice palette, and like I said at the beginning of this post, would make a really nice everyday palette providing you like Satin finish eyeshadows as there are only three matte shades.

Where to Buy:
You can still get this palette on the official Sleek website here
Sleek does ship internationally so even if your not in the UK you can probably still get this, but just double check the sites shipping policies.

And also on Ebay, but sometimes sellers mark it up to a price higher than that on the Sleek price so definitely be aware of that.

And there we have it! I hope this was helpful to you guys :D
Laterz!
