Sleek Circus Palette Swatches!

Heya (:
Today I have swatches of the bright and colourful Circus palette from Sleek
The first thing besides the eyeshadows in this palette that caught my eye was the colour of the inner packaging. Sleek palettes are usually a matte black plastic casing, but with this one its a fun and bright coral with a red Sleek logo on it. Love the colour! Hehe.
I don't have the outer sleeve of my palette as I had to order it online as it was no longer on the Sleek website when I saw swatches online and decided to purchase it, so I got mine from EBay. Good news is you can still find it on Ebay now if you really want it, bad news is it'll cost ya £18.49, which is a lot to pay for one of these palettes. But when you consider the cost of getting 12 eyeshadows in one palette from other brands, its still a pretty good deal if you really love the bright colours inside it, but continue reading before you make your desicion:

All Swatches were done over a light base of NYX Jumbo Pencil in Milk.
Here are the shades from the 1st row Without Flash:

And With Flash:

The first shade is a super bright neon coral shade with a matte finish.
Next is a gorgeous medium purple shade with pinkish sheen to it.
Followed by a matte warm toned bubble gum pink.
Then there is a matte white shade, you'll need a white base with this one to get a lot of pigmentation from it though as it goes on pretty sheer.
The next shade is a really pretty and pigmented basic yellow shade, one of few yellows I own that isn't too sheer, and is a matte shadow.
Lastly in this row is a super awesome hot pink shade with a stunning blue duochrome to it! Sleek don't often come out with duochrome shades so this shade was a great surprise!

Here is the 2nd row swatches, Without Flash:

And With Flash:

First of in this row is a matte black, usually the black shades in Sleek palettes are pretty pigmented, but this one needed packing on to get it fully black on the lid.
Next is a soft matte lavender shade but is really really sheer unless heavily packed onto a sticky base, and even then its still really sheer. I'm disappointed with this shadow, its one of the only shadows in the whole little collection of them I have that has ever failed to deliver.
Next is a gorgeous yellow toned lime green, with a prominent golden shimmer/sheen.
Then there is another matte, this time being a light bright blue, again you need a sticky base and a bit of packing the shadow on top to get the full pigmentation to show up.
The other blue in this palette is a really awesome mid toned blue base, with a lighter blue sheen to it.
Finally is a bright neon orange, and is really well pigmented and awesome.

Overall I do like this palette, there are a lot of cool shades in it. The only downside though is that the lavender and white take to much effort to get good pay off with, which is rare from Sleek so it was kinda a let down :/ Saying that though I would repurchase this palette again, but only at the original £6.99 price. But for £18.49 on Ebay its only worth it if you really LOVE the look of the other shades it contains.

More to Come Soon!

Sleek Oh So Special Palette Swatches!

Welcome back to the Sleek Swatch-a-thon! :)

Today's swatches are of the Sleek Oh So Special palette. I really love this palette, it has lots of pretty neutral shades which up until recently wasn't seen that often in Sleeks palettes, but since they have released another  named the Au Natural palette. I have yet to own that one but definitely have my eyes on it :P

The packaging is pretty and stylish, one of those types of packaging that are pretty to display on your vanity which is cool :D

Below you can get an overall idea of the shades you get:

All Swatches were done over a base of NYX Jumbo Pencil in Milk.
And here are the swatch photos of the first row Without Flash:

And With Flash :)

Bow is a lovely cream coloured highlight shade, that leans to more of a warmer tone and is a matte finish.
Organza is a pink based pale copper shade with a lovely peachy sheen to it.
Ribbon is a pretty peach toned coral and is matte.
Gift Basket is a medium warm toned bronze shade with golden shimmer.
Glitz a really pretty medium silver with lots of pink and green shimmer, giving it a really pretty finish when applied.
Celebrate is a dark warm toned brown with a gorgeous pink shimmer/sheen to it.

Onto Row 2, Without Flash:

And With Flash:

Pamper is pale pastel peach matte shade.
Gateau is a stunning pale rose gold shade with a pretty golden sheen.
The Mail is a light camel shade, and is a matte finish.
Boxed is a cool toned medium brown matte shade.
Wrapped Up makes me think of a matte version of Celebrate, and is a medium brown shade with slight purple undertones to it.
Noir is Sleeks staple black matte shadow, and is featured quite a lot in their palettes.

I love how Sleek are one of those brands that you rarely have to worry about a shade of theirs  disappointing pigmentation wise. And the shadows themselves always have a lovely buttery texture to them. Loving the fact there are more matte shades than shimmer in this palette, I really like the formulation of their matte shadows!
This palette can still be found on Sleeks website
So, if you can I recommend getting it there rather than EBay as sellers tend to mark the prices up way higher than the official website sells them for.

More Swatches Coming Tomorrow Lovelies!

Sleek Good Girl Palette Swatches!

Hey Again Everyone!

Yesterdays post was about the gorgeous Bad Girl palette from Sleek. Well today we have its angelic counterpart the Good Girl version. Pink lovers beware... your about to go into shock! Haha xD
For anyone that's not a fan of pink this palette isn't for you!

The packaging has the same sort of necklace design as the Bad Girl one, but is a lot more girly and cute and with a gold necklace instead of a silver one.

Such pretty shades inside this little palette:

Here is the first row Without Flash:

 And With Flash:

Lychee is a very pale pastel pink with lots of multicoloured sparkle.
Meringue is a baby pink shade with silver shimmer.
Candy Floss is a light bubblegum pink with lots of shimmer
Lollipop is a slightly darker more blue toned version of Candy Floss
Pink Punch is a warm toned hot pink with pink and silver shimmer.
Lastly Cupcake is the cool toned version of Pink Punch

Here is the second row of prettyness, Without Flash:

And With Flash:

Strawberry Sorbet is a slightly peachy medium pink with sliver shimmer.
Pink Grapefruit is more of a coral toned pink with again a silver shimmer throughout.
Peach Melba is a lovely shimmery true coral shade.
Papaya is a gorgeous pink based peach with a soft golden shimmer.
Raspberry Coulis is exactly the shade of pink I think of when raspberry is mentioned, a very pretty shade with the same silver shimmer as pretty much the whole palette.
Morello is a very deep cool toned pink that leans slighlty more on the red side of pink. Its very pretty, and not a colour I see that often, specially from a drugstore brand :)

The only gripe I have with this palette is the fact that the whole palette has all shimmer eyeshadows with not even one matte shade to balance it out a little. But if your only just getting started with building a collection of different shades of shadows, or just don't have a lot of pink shadows then this palette would be a good place to start as it covers a nice range within the pink family.
Finding it may be a little tricky though as its no longer on the Sleek website, and I couldn't find it on EBay either.

Stay Tuned for more Sleek Swatches Soon! :D

Sleek Bad Girl Palette Swatches!

Hey! :)

So the Sleek Swatch-a-thon continues today with the Bad Girl palette. Straight off the bat...If you <3 Purple    this is a palette you need in your collection ;)
It is also a great palette for creating a nice smokey look too!
Sleek also has a Good Girl palette too, so stay tuned for that tomorrow :D

Here is what the outer packaging looks like:

I love the cool necklace design, its pretty bad ass! Haha :)

And here is what all the pretties inside look like:

Most of the colours are swatched over NYX Jumbo Pencil in Milk, except for the darkest shades on the first row, which were swatched over Black Bean which is another NYX pencil.

Here is the first row Without Flash:

And With Flash :)

Innocence is a pretty frosty white shade with lots of multicoloured shimmer.
Gullible is a really nice light champagne colour with the shame shimmer as Innocence.
Blade is a cool toned, medium silver shade with lots of shimmer, and when rubbed out has a very slight tinge of purple to it.
Gun Metal is a classic dark smokey shimmery silver shade.
Underground is a very deep Gray, pretty much black smokey shade with shimmer.
Noir is one of only two matte shades in the palette, and is just a classic matte black. This shade has been in a few Sleek palettes, but you can never go wrong with a nice pigmented black like this one so I don't mind so much.

There is a definite pattern with a lot of these shades, apart from Noir, they all have a lot of multicoloured shimmer to them, which could be a problem if your not a fan of shimmery shadows. If however you are I don't recommend this palette as there is only one other matte shade.

Below is row two Without Flash:

And With Flash:

Intoxicated is a deep satin finish forest green.
Followed by Envy which is a very dark blackened green, perfect if you love a green smokey eye!
Obnoxious is a deep royal blue base with a gorgeous deep purple sheen to it.
Abyss has a similar but less darkened blue base like Obnoxious with a less obvious purple tint to it.
Twilight is an insanely pretty blackened plum base with a dark purple sheen to it in the light.
Finally Rebel is a deep blackcurrant/aubergine, I really love these sorts of shades, specially to add a bit of smokey colour to a neutral look in the crease. this is the only other matte in the palette though which is a bit disappointing.

I would have loved there to have been a really deep matte forest green shade as they are hard to come by but other than that I really like this palette overall. Its my go to for the darker colours for a coloured smokey eye :). I was glad that the multicoloured shimmer pattern in the first row didn't continue throughout the second row too.

The Bad Girl palette can still be found on Sleek's website http://www.sleekmakeup.com/en/shop/searchresults.aspx?fdPageReset=true
So if you wanna get your hands on this one for an awesome price at £6.99 I'd snap it up, especially if you love all shades of purple and also smokey eyes! :)

Hope you enjoyed this post Lovelies!

Sleek Paraguaya Palette Swatches!

Hey There Lovelies!

This week I'll be posting swatches of my Sleek Eyeshadow Palette collection I have going on. Today's swatches are from the gorgeous Paraguaya Limited Edition palette from the Avoir la Peche Collection.
This palette contains peachy shades with some more orange toned shades, and 3 basic neutrals thrown in to balance everything out.
Blow is a picture of the really cute outer packaging this one came in, its simple but very pretty. The mixture of the flat black and white sleeve with the shimmery pinky/peach accents is really stunning.

And the shades inside don't disappoint either ;)

I swatched all of the eyeshadows over a thin layer of NYX Jumbo Pencil in Milk.
Below are the swatches of the first row of eyeshadows Without Flash:

And With Flash:

Parfait is a really pretty peachy champagne shade with silver shimmer throughout.
Blush is a lovely pink based peach with a matte finish.
Cameo is a light warm toned dusty rose/pink shade and is also a matte.
Persian Orange is an extremely gorgeous shimmery golden peach shade.
Peach Gold is very pink based golden peach with a lovely golden sheen to it.
Sandstone is a perfect warm toned creamy highlight shade with a slight peach undertone to it, and would look awesome with any of the shades the palette contains.

And here are the swatches of the second row of the palette, again With Flash:

And With Flash:

There are quite a few matte shades in this row, which is nice as a lot of the Sleek palettes usually have more shimmery shades than mattes.

Bellini is a pale golden shade with multicoloured shimmer that would be a gorgeous inner corner highlight with the peachy tones of the palette.
Redstone is the perfect cool toned matte peach shade, which would make a great transitional colour around the crease area.
Persimmon is a really nice pink/coral shade.
Tangelo is a matte warm toned.
Bittersweet is a matte taupe/Gray shade with a very slight purple undertone to it.
And lastly Stone is a dark cool toned matte brown

As usual the shades in Sleek's palettes are really pigmented, and I like how this one in particular has the shades named, which a lot of earlier Sleek palettes didn't. Its a simple touch that makes talking about the shades with others a lot easier, rather than explaining where in the palette the shade your trying to explain is.
If your a lover of peachy tones and neutrals you'll love this palette, there is a nice shade range for different skin tones to I think.
You can't get this palette on Sleek's website anymore, but it can still be found on EBay

Hope your all doing great!

Sleek Safari Palette Swatches!

Howdy there!
Today's post will be some more Sleek palette swatches, I have quite a few of their palettes in my collection now. They are super awesome quality for the price point they are in, and if you ever need 12 shadows on a budget for travel etc they are really good value at £6.99. Sleek are one of my all time favourite drugstore brands because of these palettes they come out with, I really need to get some more of their products soon! Hehe

Now onto the good stuff :P
All the swatches below were done over NYX Jumbo Pencil in Milk.

Here is a photo of what kinda shades this palette has too offer (click on the images to bring up a larger sized image):

Below are swatches of Row 1 Without Flash...

And With Flash:

The 1st shade in this row is a dark grey, almost black with a slight khaki green undertone to it and is a matte finish.
Secondly is a light warm gold shade, with orange and gold shimmer.
Thirdly is a light lime green shade with green and gold shimmer.
The next shade is a cool toned light grayish khaki colour with multicoloured shimmer.
Next up is a beautiful copper shade with silver and red/orange shimmer.
Lastly is a darker version of the previously mentioned golden shade above with a golden shimmer/sheen to it.

Next up is Row 2 swatches Without Flash...

And With Flash:

First off is a matte textured camel/tan shade with very subtle silver glitter shot through it.
The next shade is a really pretty white gold shade with multicoloured shimmer.
The 3rd shade is a really pretty 'sea green' with a matte finish. This colour really reminds my of the colour of a Caribbean ocean!
Followed by a gorgeous cool toned emerald green shade with a golden green sheen to it.
Next is a golden champagne shade with golden shimmer.
And lastly is a medium warm toned shimmery bronze shade that actually has a more coppery tone to it on the skin than it does in the pan, and has gold and copper shimmer throughout it

I really like the shades in this palette, there are enough neutrals to create a really pretty daytime smokey eye, with some lovely green shades to add a pop of colour for a nighttime look or a gorgeous green eye look :)
This one might be a little hard to find now, and more expensive than the regular price of these palettes as it was discontinued, but I found mine on EBay so you might have more luck tracking it down on there.

Hope you enjoyed the swatchy goodness!

Rainbow Liner EOTD & FOTD :D

Hey Everyone! :)
So todays post is a quick Eye & Face of the day. I was in a colourful kind of mood today so I decided to do some rainbow liner using my 120 palette I got on Ebay a while ago, so I pretty much had all the eyeshadows colours I wanted to play with in one place without rooting through my makeup stash :)

And below is how the look turned out:

I was happy with the way it turned out :D I didn't really put any shadow on my lower lash line, except for a little bit of light gold in the inner corner, as my eyes have been really sensitive and running all over the place lately. And also there was a lot of colour used on the upper lash line which I wanted the focus of the look to be anyway, so I just went with a really light pink almost flesh colour on the waterline too. I tight lined the upper lash line too to add a bit more definition. I went with a really light pink blusher and then a bright medium pink lip.

The Products I Used Were:

Eyes
Two Faced Shadow Insurance.
NYX Jumbo Pencil in Milk to outline the winged liner shape I wanted to achieve, and also as a base to make the brighter colours I was placing on top more vibrant.
A mixture of bright colours from a 120 eyeshadow palette (pictured and highlighted below).
Sephora Long Lasting Liquid Eyeliner in Glittering Black along the upper lash line.
Avon Supershock Gel Eyeliner in Black on upper waterline.
Astor Eye Pencil in 04 Manga Pink on lower waterline.
Daniel Sandler Baby Jet Mascara in Black.

I used the yellow, green, turquoise, blue from the bottom layer of the palette first (1st picture below), then used the purple from the top layer of this palette and finally the light gold (2nd picture below) just on the inner corner of the lower lash line. I made sure to blend the eyeshadows into each other a little on the lash line to so there was a soft gradient into the next colour.

Face
L'Oreal Studio Secrets Smoothing resurfacing Primer.
Revlon Photo Ready Foundation in 002 Vanilla.
ELF Studio Blush in Gotta Glow as a higlighter.
ELF Mineral Blush in Pink.
ELF Studio Eyebrow Kit in Medium.
NYX Eyebrow Marker in Medium.

Lips
Rimmel 1000 Kisses Lipliner in Indian Pink.
Manhattan Soft Mat Lipcream in 54L (and that is how matte is spelt on the packaging).

Let me know what you think in the comments, or if your going to try it yourself. :)
Much Love

Victorian Disco Cosmetics is Having a Giveaway! :D

Hey Everyone!

So I recently made an order with an indie company on Etsy called VictorianDisco, as they were releasing a Final Fantasy couples inspired eyeshadow pigment collection (when I saw mentions of it on twitter I literally squealed as I'm a hugeeeeeeee FF fan, they are my favourite games of all time along with Silent Hill and Resident Evil, so I knew I had to get all 5 sets! xD ). I messaged the owner of the company on Etsy to ask some details about the release date and such, and I have to say the customer service is excellent and the owner is awesome and friendly!
I haven't received my order yet but the company is US based so it usually takes a while for anything from the states to arrive here in the UK, so I'll post a review and swatches when they do get here as I can't wait to play with them! :) They have some other cool collections too, such as Star Wars, Sailer Moon and Harry Potter ones.

Today on Twitter I saw that VictorianDisco is hosting a giveaway on their Blog, so for anyone that wants to check them out and have the chance to win some of their gorgeous shadows, then head on over to this page:
http://victoriandisco.blogspot.com/2012/01/alright-ladies-its-time-again-for.html

I also highly recommend visiting their Etsy Store, Following them on Twitter and to 'Like' the VictorianDisco Facebook page to check out the eyeshadows they have to offer and also to stay update with new collection releases and discount codes etc that are happening in future!
