Sleek Acid Eyeshadow Palette Swatches

This is the last of these palettes that I own right now until after next Friday when I pay for my Circus and Bad Girl ones from Ebay. I'll get swatches of those up too when they arrive :)

Onto Swatchy Goodness :)

Just for anyone who wants to know this is what the back of the palette is like just in case you buy from Ebay and want to avoid fakes, the older palettes should like this, the newer ones like the Sunset Palette have the same as pictured here but arranged vertically, instead of vertically as pictured here.

And here is what this one looks like on the inside:

My camera didn't pick up how bright the four neon colours in the middle are, but boy are they bright!  :D
As with my other posts the swatches go from left to right, instead of right to left as they are in the palette. This palette has quite a few matte shades.

Here are the Swatches from Row 1:

First up is a gorgeous Hot Pink with a kind of purple sheen to it.
Next a mate White, gotta say I'm not a fan of this one, its not very pigmented at all even on top of a base, my F.Y...eye! base I use for swatching purposes stood out more than the shadow packed on top of it.
Next is a Neon Yellow <3 with a matte finish.
And a Neon Orange, again with a matte finish (this ones pure awesomeee).
Then there is a gorgeous lavender toned Blue.
Followed by a shimmery Baby Blue.

Heres what they look like with the flash on:

Here comes Row 2 ^.^

The first shadow is a gorgeous bright matte Purple.
Then there is a really pretty Grass Green with golden shimmer. Love this one its my fav of the bunch
Then a Neon Pink with a matte finish.
And a Neon Green with matte finish.
Then a dark silver which I <3
And finally there is a very pigmented matte Black :)

And below is how they look with flash
:)

If you love bright colours and are more of a matte than shimmer fan this ones definitely the one for you, as with all of the Sleek palettes the shadows are really pigmented, the only one thats not so good is the matte white but that really is the only downside to this awesome little palette.

If you wanna check out the rest of the swatches of the 3 other palettes I have here are the links :)

And heres a link to an Ebay search for this palette:

Again you can get them from Sleek displays in Superdrug in the UK. Most of the Ebay sellers ship Internationally if your across the pond, and the Official site also ships Internationally too :) (http://www.sleekmakeup.com/en/categories/eye-shadow-17.aspx?fdGotoPage_Products17=2)

And thats it for all the palettes I have for now! More coming soon!

Sleek Sunset Palette Swatches

Heya Again Kitties!
Heres the last but one of these palettes that I own, check out the previous posts to see some of the other palettes:

http://cupcakekittencosmeticjournal.blogspot.com/2010/11/sleeks-original-eyeshadow-palette.html
http://cupcakekittencosmeticjournal.blogspot.com/2010/11/sleek-jewel-eyeshadow-palette-swatches.html

These 2 in the picture below are the most recent of these palettes I bought a while ago but I just wanted you to get an idea about what the packaging is like on these palettes :)

Now onto the good stuff:

This is what the shadows are like in this palette in the picture below. I gotta say this is one of my favourite sleek palettes I own, I love every colour in this one <3 They are so colourful and vibrant and that makes me smile everytime I open this one up! :D Again all the shadows are shimmery apart from the black which is matte and may I say pure Black.

Onto the swatches! :)
Again the swatches go from left to right, instead of right to left as they are in the palette:

The first colour is that veryyyy Black matte shadow, this is one of the blackest shadows I own, really love this one.
Next up is the gorgeous Red, absolutely love colours like this one.
Then there is a darkened Orange shadow.
And then comes the Bright shimmery Orange <3<3 Favourite!
Then there is a very yellow toned Gold
And last on this row is a really bright Sea Blue.

Heres what they look like with the flash on:

2nd Row here we come :)

1st is a Brown with a Reddish/Purple sheen to it.
Followed by a darker version of the Red in the first row of this palette.
Next is a Light Copper shade.
Then there is a lovely shimmery Golden shade
Next up is a colour very simliar to the Golden pink in the Original palette in the pan but has less gold shimmer in so the pink shows through a lot more.
And last is very a pale peach, again looks similar to the Peachy Gold in the Original palette but is a few shades lighter.

And heres what they look like with flash:

If you love Autumn/Fall colours This palette is a MUST for you, the colours of the reds, coppers and oranges in this palette really remind me of the shades the leaves turn in this season. one word...Gorgeoussss <3<3 I think I love this one too much xD haha

This one is still available on the Sleek website so is pretty easy to get hold of I should think, or you can see if they have it instore at Superdrug in the UK or there are some on ebay:

There we have it, Stay tuned for the Neon Palette Swatches coming soon!

Sleek Jewel Eyeshadow Palette Swatches

Here is the next lot of swatches of the 'Jewel' Palette (check out the previous post for another lot of swatches from another of Sleek's palettes here http://cupcakekittencosmeticjournal.blogspot.com/2010/11/sleeks-original-eyeshadow-palette.html). This was the second one of these I ever bought. Looking on the site I'm not sure if this one is available any more unless you can find it at the Sleek counter/display in Superdrug, its not listed on the site and I had a look on Ebay and couldn't find one on there either. I'll put the swatches up anyway incase you wanna see the colours for if you want to try and track one of these down. Here we go :)

So here is the palette itself (the double ended sponge applicator is missing from this one as I misplaced it):

Again the swatches go from left to right, instead of right to left as they are in the palette:

The first shade in the top row is a gorgeous Coppery Red colour <3
Then there is a an almost Maroon Brown toned colour. Gorgeoussss .
Then there is a lovely Forest Green.
Followed by a Blackened Olive/Antique Gold shade.
A beautiful sparkly Gold with a slightly Orange sheen in certain lighting.
And a very Dark Grey/Black with just a tiny hint of shimmer.

The last colour for me wasn't as great as the other shadows, it takes a lot of product to try and get an even coating and doesn't blend as well as the other shadows, but if you want a softer look than pure black this one would work with a few good layers of product for a more subtle look :)

Here's what they look like with the flash on:

Onto row 2 :D

The first shade is a blue toned Silver, very pretty colour.
Next is a true Light Gold.
Followed by a gorgeous Dark shimmery Blue.
Then there is a pale Minty Green.
The next shadow is a Dark Bronze with a slightly red tone to it.
And lastly is a Golden Tan shade.

Again these eyeshadows are really pigmented, apart from the Minty Green in this row and the Dark Grey in the first row, these you have to apply a good amount of product to stop them being quite so sheer unless thats the look you want :) But otherwise I really do adore these palettes. Below is the picture of what these shadows look like with the flash on:

Like I said at the start of this post, I'm not sure if you can still get this palette any more, but hopefully you will have better look tracking one down than I did!

Stay tuned for the Sleek Sunset Palette next!

Sleek's The Original Eyeshadow Palette Swatches

Right off the bat I can tell you I LOVE these palettes!! I own four of them already & wanna get all of the other 5 I don't own as well at some point. I thought I'd start with the first one I ever purchased called 'The Original', the shadows in these palettes are gorgeously pigmented and have a really smooth texture to them which makes them really easy to blend. They are really good value too, you get 12 shades for just £5.99, and I recommend not letting your cat knocking this palette from a great height off a table like I did, I had to repair the light gold and purple colours in mine because of doing just that! Whoops haha. All the shades in this palette are shimmery shades apart from the black which is a matte shadow.

Here's a picture of the inside of the palette showing the colours you get and what is inside. You get a double ended foam applicator inside and a veryyy good sized mirror, as well as the pretty shadows.

The swatches show the shades from the palette going from right to left (instead of from left to right in the above picture) as I forgot to flip the images when I was resizing them to correspond to how they are arranged in the palette

Here are the shades from the top row:

The first shade is a lovely Mid-toned Green colour, such a lovely colour :)
Then there is a gorgeous Teal colour, one of my favourites from this palette.
Next is a gorgeous Light Blue.
Followed by a blackened Navy Blue, love this one <3
Then a gorgeous Light Purple
And finally the matte Black

Below shows the swatches with a flash to show the shimmer in these shadows off :)

Onto the bottom row:

This is the more everyday/neutral row, such pretty colours I love the pale pinky colours in this row as they are the neutral colours I tend to reach for when I want a more natural look but still with that shimmery sheen that I love!

The first shade is an Olive Green which rubs out to have a lot of golden shimmer to it.
Then there is a browned Gold shade.
Followed by a Copper Toned colour which is awesomeee
Next is a Peachy Gold
And my favourite neutral, a Golden Pink colour
And lastly a Pale Gold colour (the one I had to save! lol)

Now if your not a fan of shimmery shadows then these palettes aren't for you as most of the shades in the 4 I own are pretty much all shimmery, the only one of mine with more matte colours in is the Acid palette that has the neon shades in which I'll be uploading pictures of in a little while, but for those of you that love shimmer these are a must have!

You can by these palettes from the Sleek Makeup stand in most Superdrug stores if you live in the UK, or from the Sleek website ( http://www.sleekmakeup.com/en/categories/eye-shadow-17.aspx?fdGotoPage_Products17=2 ) as they ship Internationally, although if you can't find the one you want you can always look on Ebay, I'll post a link to the search for each palette in each of the posts :)) Here's the link for this palette:

W7 Neon & 5 Piece Eyeshadow boxes

Heya!! Sorry for the lack of blogging activity recently, we had a spell of really bad wind that ripped the wire for the internet out and had to wait for the telephone company to come fix it, but I've got tonnes of things to upload over the next week or so, so hopefully I'll make up for the absense :)

So lets crack on : P
I was looking for little stocking fillers for a friend and my Mom, as I've already bought their main pressies,  when I came across these little W7 palettes in T J Hughes and at £1.99 I couldn't pass them up so I bought myself one of each too :)  There's the Neon Eye Box and the 5 Piece Eye Shadow Box. The Neon one contains 5 really vibrant shadows, an Orange, Yellow, Lime Green, Pink and Blue. There were 2 varietys of these but the only difference was the packaging on one was green and the other yellow. Heres some pictures & swatches I took of both of the palettes.....

Here's what the two I bought for myself look like:

The shadows in both are imprinted with this little smiley face which I think is really cute  :D They come with a double ended sponge applicator, but if you prefer to use brushes then you can just take them out but if your buying for someone who doesn't own any then this is perfect. There is a decent sized mirror too and these are small enough to fit in your handbag for touch ups throughout the day, and they aren't really heavy either and pretty versatile with the 5 different shades so you can mix it up a bit to change your look. This one below is perfect for anyone who loves a lot of colour.

The Orange shade is a lovely dark coral colour with a slight pink tone to it. The Yellow is a lovely bright sunny yellow. The green is more lime green in the pan but is a bit more of a greeny yellow on the skin. The pink is a bright Fuschia pink, and the Blue is a cornflower toned blue verging almost on purple side. All very pretty colours.

Here's the swatches on top of a base in natural light:

Some of the shadows you have to pat on rather than sweeping onto the lids like the blue for example, but they are pretty pigmented and go on relatively smoothly. As you can see from the picture they really are bright colours. These ones are all matte finishes.

Below are the swatches with the flash on:

I can't wait to do some looks with these and see how well they blend :)

Next up is the 5 Piece Eye Shadow Box:

I've gotta say I really love the colours in this one and they would look gorgeous on any skin tone. The shades are really pretty, especially the middle one, its a lovely golden olive shade with what looks like green, red and golden shimmer particles in it. The brown shade shown first in the picture above seems to have the same sort of shimmer in it but but not as much as the olive one. The next shade is a kind of greyed out light golden shade which is really pretty. To the right of the olive shade is a Shimmery gold colour and lastly is a Bronze Gold shade. These didn't photograph to well but were more pigmented on my skin than the pictures show. Below is the picture of the swatches in natural light:

And the swatches with the flash on :) :

Overall I'm glad I picked these up, they are such cute little palettes with awesome shades in them, I'll update this post when I've tested them out a bit. You can find these palettes on Ebay if there isn't a T J Hughes where you live or pop in store and see if they have them :)

One last thing I wanna mention is that T J Hughes is really good for makeup bargains, I hadn't really looked at the makeup in the store before as its not really a shop I visit often so I was quite suprised to find they sell a lot of decent discounted products from well known brands such as Rimmel, Urban Decay, Maybelline etc. I picked up some of the Urban Decay Deluxe Eyeshadows in Heat & Sting, Vinyl Lipstick and a Gash Liquid Eyeliner. They only sell a few shades of all the different brands but they are really good prices I only payed £3.99
for each of the Urban Decay products I bought when they are usually £14! :) I'll upload pictures and swatches etc soon.

More post coming soon!

LimeCrime Lipsticks!! =^.^=

Heya Kittens :))

Sooooo I finally got some LimeCrime Lippiess yayyyyy <3 I've been lusting after these for a fair while now so when I saw them on Magpie Sparkles sale on her blog (http://magpiesparkles.tumblr.com/) I had to snap them up, they were such a bargain! I ended up getting 6. Put it this way, in the UK these Lippies are £14 each not counting shipping depending on where you get them. On her blog sale some of them were £5 and a few were £7, thats just under half the price! Now some of them were a little damaged, but not to the point where they are breaking in half or unusable, just little scuffs on the sides of the Lipstick.

The first thing about these that you notice is the goooorgeous packaging, the case is a lovely purpley pink colour and has the LimeCrime logo on the front and pretty Unicorn all surrounded by little stars on the back in a rainbow holographic silver writing, soooooo cute!! I love nice little touches like that :) The packaging is probably around the same size as a MAC lipstick I think. These definitely stand out in my Lippie drawer! Haha :D

The shades I got (shown in order below) were:
Styletto, Cosmopop, Great Pink Planet, D'Lilac, Countessa Fluorescent & Airbourne Unicorn
I'll go into more detail about each one under the appropriate swatch:

I swatched them on my skin first:

From left to right
Row 1: Airbourne Unicorn, Countessa Fluorescent, D'Lilac.
Row 2: Great Pink Planet, Cosmopop, Styletto

I then wore each lipstick to give you a better idea of how they look on the lips. I love the formula of these lippies, they are very creamy and moisturising, a lot of lipsticks tend to dry my lips out very quickly which I hate, but these are awesome and didn't cause me any problems at all! They apply very well too, and depending on the amount of vibrancy you want, you can either apply a light layer for just a pop of colour or apply a few layers to make the colours really stand out. The other thing is they have a light glossy look to them which I really like, but if your more of a matte fan you can just blot your lips to get rid of some of the shinyness :)

This is Airbourne Unicorn. Its a lovely purpley pink colour thats pretty much the same shade as the outer packaging, and I think may have been the inspiration for the packaging or vice versa. I liked this one a lot, I have no other shades like this one and its a lovely change from either standard pink or purple colours as I had nothing inbetween. Its definitely one of my favs outta the ones I got, along with the next shade...

This is Countessa Fluorescent, an awesome luminous not quite fuschia pink, this one actually looks a tad brighter on than in the picture, I've been after a pink like this forever, so I think out of all of these this one is my favourite one :) Such a brilliant bright colour, loves it <3

Next up is D'Lilac this is one of the more 'unique' shades in the LimeCrime range, its a very pale lilac colour which really does look lovely, it photographs more of a pink on my camera but is definitely more close to the colour of the actual product in the container and the swatch of it one my skin above, but if your not a pastel fan then this one might not be for you but never the less it really is a cool colour *thumbs up* ^.6

Next is Great Pink Planet, another of the colours I've been stalking hehe. I'm a big fan of pastely colours, they are just so darn pretty, and this is no exception! Its a very cotton candy pink for sure

Cosmopop is a very interesting one, its inbetween a kind of orange and peachy/coraly colour. This one looks scary in the container but I was really surprised how it looked on the lips. It was one of those colours I thought 'I'm either guna love it or hate it'....turns out I love it! I like this one a lot, and cuz my lips are pretty pink naturally it turns a lovely peachy colour when rubbed in with my finger a bit.

And then came Styletto! :D I was very gutted to find that when I had a sort out of my makeup collection the only black lipstick I had, had completely dried out and gone all flakey in the tube...ewwww! But thats what ya get for buying a cheap one from since you were 16 then forgetting about it...whoops :P. So when I saw this on the blog sale I had to get it, thing I love about black is the fact its not just matte, same as the other shades and it glides on :) Only thing with me and black lippy is I ALWAYS end up making a mess and having to clean up the edges with a cotton bud!

Now onto the ONLY negative I have about these products...
Pretty much every one I have has got some sort of mark either on the side of the lipstick where it catches the tube inside the container as its being twisted up, as most of them seem to not be aligned dead center, or around the bottom of the product just above where it goes into the plastic that holds it in place. This could be problematic, especially the 2nd option as I've read around and they either break of at this point, or you end up with a chunk missing out of the side : / Cosmopop was the one with the most damage in the ones I got which is probably why they were so cheap, and because they had a previous owner and she said underneath that they were damaged in transit, so that might account for why mine were a lil beaten up, but to a dealable degree. Either that or its a slight manufacturers fault in the way they are made. It doesn't bug me so much but when you've payed that much for a lippy when you get them brand new, I can understand why it might bug people.... BUT other than that these are very awesome products, and I'll definitely be getting the other 4 shades in the future. The ones I don't have are:

Centrafuschia- A really bright fuschia pink colour.
My Beauitful Rocket- A luminous bright orange colour.
No She Didn't- A really unique 'bubble-gum blue', I reallyyyyyyy want this one!
Retrofuturist- A bright true red shade, this will be the last one I purchase I think if I decide to get it at all, I have too many red shades because I went through a stage where it was all I ever wore! haha

If you wanna check these out you can get them from the official Limecrime site which I think ships worldwide at $16 a piece http://www.limecrimemakeup.com/categories/Lips/
Or if you live in the UK and prefer to deal in £s, you can get them at SPACE.NK for £14 http://www.limecrimemakeup.com/categories/Lips/

Be sure to check out their other products too! They have really pretty looking eyeshadows which I may have to invest in too at some point!

Well thats about it :) Hope it was informative to you guys!

Later Kittens =^-^=
