Misa Amane Makeup Tutorial (See previous post for the links to the video that inspired me:)) )

Let's get this partay started ;)

So the 1st thing I did before applying any make-up was to moisturise, this is part of my preping before applying any foundation as my skin tends to get really dry. My favourite product for this is Nivea Visage Oil-Free Moisturing Fluid, shown in the picture below. It leaves my skin really smooth and nourished not to mention the fact I love how Nivea products smell! Another part of this routine of mine is to use the Nivea Lip Care Essential lip balm (also shown in the picture below). This ones great because by the time I get to putting on my makeup it absorbs into my lips a little and isn't sticky like some other lip balms, and because it goes on colourless it doesn't interfer with any lip products I use :) Also whenever i mention using my fingers to apply makeup i always wipe any residue off with a makeup remover wipe etc before continuing with the next step so I don't ruin any makeup I've already applied.

Right, on to the good stuff :P
Firstly I applied L'Oreal Ideal Balance Foundation for combination skin, in the shade 303 Pale, and applied it all over my face using my fingers for a smoother coverage. If you prefer to use a foundation brush or makeup sponge then feel free :) This is the palest shade of foundation I have as in the pictures misa has quite pale skin, but if you have darker skin then stick to your usual shade. I then covered any blemishes and dark spots with Witch Concealer Stick in the shade Ivory and blended with a concealer brush. When finished I applied Avon's Perfect Match Loose Powder in the shade Ivory again using a large fluffy powder brush and blended excess powder off using a Kabuki brush. All products shown below :) The gold W7 pot and the Image Blusher are used at the very end of this tutorial but are pictured here so you can see them, as is the eyeshadow primer thats mentioned in the next section.

On to the eyesss =^-^=
I started off by applying a thin even coat of Benefit's F.Y..eye! eyeshadow primer (see above) all over my upper eyelid with my finger, and also on the lower lid this time using a very small thin tipped brush as we only want a little eyeshadow underneath the eye. It looks pinkish when first applied but then dries transluscent so is suitable for any skin tone. I'm personally not a fan of this one but I'm waiting for my Urban Decay Primer Potion to get here as I've heard its the best, so if you have that or another primer you love stick with those :))
Taking a medium sized flat bristled brush or just a medium sized one if not (beware it WILL need washing afterwards) I applied Avon's Daring Definition Gel eyeliner to gently map out the shape of where I wanted the eyeshadow to go to give a basic outline, and also to act as an extra base for the eyeshadows. I was careful to avoid the inner corner of my eyelid as Misa seems to not have a lot of shadow there, the focus is on he rest of the lid. I continued to belnd the liner to makea rounded arch shape as shown in the picture below, not putting any eyeliner at all about 5mm under the brow, and bringing it down along the natural brow shape, rounding off to join the lower lid where the brow finishes, applying only a light layer on the bottom lid and then filling the rest of the shape in with the liner.
The next step was to apply a matte black eyeshadow from my 120 eyeshadow palette, any matte black will do, on all of my upper lid upto the crease and patting it on rather than brushing to get better coverage using again a medium sized brush. Then I bought the shadow out in a sort of wing shape at the outer 3rd towards the end of the brow line and down along the shape made with the liner (shown below). And bought some of the matte black shadow down along the outer 3rd of my lower lashline too(shown below).
Following this I applied MAC's Knight Divine eyeshadow onto the rest of the liner shape and bought it down to meet with the black, using a similar shaped brush and then taking a blending brush to smooth out any harsh edges where the two shadows met, and also along the eges of the liner shape we made to tone them down as well and applied a little of the Knight Divine along the rest of the bottom lash line. Apply a little more of the matte black where you originally put this shade on the upper lid as we want the black to stand out more than the other shades were using. Then wiping any excess of the blending brush just used on the back of your hand, lightly dust it with MAC's Vellum and apply lightly to the areas under the brow where there is no shadow and blend slightly into the edges of the Knight Divine shadow. (shown below).
I then moved onto applying some false lashes, these were ones out of a makeup set I bought from where I work which only cost £3.99 containing glitter eyeliners 2 pairs of lashes and an eyeliner pencil (If you're from the UK nip into Home Bargains and look for the Vamp products and you'll find them there if you're interested :) it's a really good set for not alot of cash), only bad thing is it doesn't come with lash glue but you can get it from Ebay and other places for real cheap, I just used what I had lying around. Apply a thin layer of glue to the edge of your false lashes along the lash line, then wait for about 20seconds until it becomes tacky. Then place the middle of the lashes just above your own lash line but as close to it as possible for a more natural look, the press the rest of the lashes in place. I like to use a cotton bud (q-tip) for this part as it doesn't pick up the shadow from the lid as much as your fingers would, repeat this for your other eye and wallah! pretty lashes you can flutter :) Apply a thin line of Borjois Clubbing Liner in Ultra Black along the upper lash line to cover any excess lash glue and to blend with the black shadow, using a little of the black matte shadow again over the top and blend a little. Next apply a genorous coating of Avon's Super Lash Mascara in Black to your natural and false lashes. All the above steps are shown on the picture below. I also filled in my eyebrows with a generic brown pencil and blended out a little with an angled brush for a more natural look. I then used Avon's Jillian Dempsey Professional Kohl Eyeliner to line my waterline.

Now for those lips :)
I started by lining my lips with a light red coloured lip liner, it was unbranded but any similar colour or make will do, I then swept some of Versace's Hyrdrating Lipstick in the shade V2015-C which is a vivd red shade onto the middle of my lip, blending out to the corners with a lip brush. Then press yout lips together to transfer the lipstick to your top lip and blend out to any parts that didn't get coated to ensure even coverage. Then repeat the last step using Dior Kiss Lipgloss in MelloYello (a medium red slightly orange toned lipgloss with orangy/gold shimmer), when finished take a clean cotton bud and very lightly dab any excess gloss from the lips leaving only a little glossiness.
And for the final touches....
I finished the look by applying Image Blusher to the apples of my cheeks right up along to my ear to add a bit of definition but not a lot of colour, I'm not sure where to buy this one as it came as part of a 'lot' I bought from Ebay but any pale peachy/pink shade will do. I then finished by dusting a light layer of W7's Candy Shimmer higlighting pearls around the whole of my face to add a slight touch more paleness.

There we have it, all done and looking smashing :)))) Lemmie know what you think and whether your gonna have a go yourself =^-^=
