Sleek Graphite Palette Swatches!

Hey!
I'm back again with another lot of swatches, this time for the Sleek Graphite Palette.

First things first...If you love grey and purple, you'll really like this palette, because aside from the two highlight shades the rest of the shadows are varying shades of these colours.

These were all swatched over the top of a sheer layer of NYX's Jumbo Pencil in Milk, so that the eyeshadows had something to grab onto, and to give a better idea of the colours.

Here's what the palette looks like :)

Below are swatches of the first row of shadows first in natural light, then also with a soft flash:

The first shade is a frost finished white shade, would be a really nice inner corner of the eye highlight.
The second shade is also a frosty pale peach toned highlight shade.
The thrid shade is a medium toned silver with a pale silver sheen to it and a Satin finish.
The fourth shade is a slightly more grey based version of the previous shade with the same sheen and finish.
The last two shades in the row are extremely similar, which is a little disappointing, the sixth shade in the row is maybe the tiniest  bit darker but only just.

Next up are photos of the swatches of the second row of this palette, again in natural light first, then with a soft flash:

The first shade in this row is a dark steel grey and Satin finish.
The second shade is a really nice black with a really dark grey/silver sheen to it, this shade is also in the Bad Girl palette.
The thrid shade is a standard matte black is pretty decently pigmented even without a base.
The fourth shade has a cool-toned bluish grey base, with purple and blue shimmer throughout.
The fifth shade is a Satin, very greyish purple base with a pink/purple sheen to it.
The final shade is a gorgeous violet base with a slightly blue sheen and Satin finish.

Overall I like this palette but the thing that bugs me about it is a lot of the silver/dark grey shades in it are really similar to each other. The differences are that subtle that its hard to really pick up on them unless you look really closely, but as always the shadows are very pigmented and blend very easily.

I think if I had to chose between this palette and the Bad Girl one though, I would rather have Bad Girl, as there is a bit more of a range in the shades within it than the Graphite one.

Where To Buy:

The only place I know where you can buy this palette now is on Ebay, as it is no longer on the Sleek website and I think it was a Limited Edition, so you may have to pay a bit more for it if you still want to get your hands on it.

Sleek Storm Palette Swatches

Heya Kitties!

Long time no blog! Sorry its been kinda quiet on the post front but hopefully whats coming soon will make up for it! :D I had a major swatch-a-thon with all the Sleek Makeup eyeshadow palettes I own, so stay tuned for a whole lotta posts! Haha

First off is the Storm palette!
The overall first impressions for this palette is that if your a fan of more neutral shades and browns for everyday wear, then you'll probably like this palette. And it also has a few coloured shades just incase you wanted to vamp up your everyday look for the nighttime. A lot of the shades in this palette have a Satin finish to them so I'll state which ones have a different finish.

Below is a picture of what the palette looks like to give you a general idea of the shades it contains. It was taken in natural light without the flash:

I forgot to bring my primer/base with me that I normally use for swatching, but I did have my NYX Jumbo Pencil in Milk with me so I used that for most of the swatches, apart from the matte black shadow, that I swatched over Urban Decay Primer Potion just to get a truer swatch of it as the Milk pencil may have made it look slightly lighter on the photos.

Here are the swatches of the first row of the palette, in natural daylight/no flash:

And here with a soft flash to give you a better idea of the shimmer described below of some of the shades:

The first shade is a lovely golden shade, with very soft tan undertones. It has a gorgeous golden, almost peachy sheen to it in the light.
The second shade is a very light champagne colour with a subtle pale gold sheen to it. It is the lightest shade in the palette and would work really nicely as a highlight.
The third shade is a soft Matte finish camel/tan shade, which I think would work really well as a transitional crease colour to blend other shadows into, to smooth out any harsh lines. it also has pretty decent pigmentation for a matte shade.
The fourth shade is another golden shadow but this one is much more of a 'true' gold, than the first shade and doesn't read as peachy, and has a definite golden sheen.
The fifth shade is a very pretty 'rose gold' with a peachy undertone to it, and also the same peachyness in the shimmer.
The last shade in this row is a really nice cranberry Satin shade with a copper sheen to it in the light.

Onto Row 2 ^.^
This row has a lot more darker shades in it than the first.
Again below are swatches in natural light, then followed by pictures taken with a soft flash

The first shade in this row is a warm toned medium/dark brown with an awesome golden copper sheen when the light hits it.
The second shade is very Gunmetal grey type shade with a nice sheen to it. There is a similar shade in the Bad Girl palette which will be posted soon too.
The third shade is one of my favourites and is a sort of blackened forest green. There is again a similar shade in the Bad girl palette but this one has slightly more of a blue undertone to it.
The fourth shade is a grey toned based with a purple sheen to it, with lots of pretty blue and purple shimmer throughout.
The fifth shade is a deep medium cool-toned brown with a Matte finish, but takes a bit of work to get it to look like it does in the pan as the pigmentation isn't that great, especially without some kind of sticky base underneath it.
And finally is a Matte black shade, again not the most pigmented eyeshadow in the palette and takes a little bit of building up.

I really do love Sleek palettes the pigmentation is nearly always awesome, but the last two shades in the second row of this palette kinda let it down a little, but other than that it is a really nice palette, and like I said at the beginning of this post, would make a really nice everyday palette providing you like Satin finish eyeshadows as there are only three matte shades.

Where to Buy:
You can still get this palette on the official Sleek website here
Sleek does ship internationally so even if your not in the UK you can probably still get this, but just double check the sites shipping policies.

And also on Ebay, but sometimes sellers mark it up to a price higher than that on the Sleek price so definitely be aware of that.

And there we have it! I hope this was helpful to you guys :D

GlamourDoll Eyes 80's Child Collection Swatches of Shimmer, Jerrica, Brewster & Mutant!

So here's another set of swatches of eyeshadows from GlamourDoll Eyes. This time around I swatched the 4 eyeshadows I purchased from the 80s Child collection, which are a set of e/s inspired by cartoons and shows from the 80s era. The shades I got were Shimmer which is inspired by Rainbow Brite, Jerrica which was inspired by the show Jem, Brewster which was inspired by Punky Brewster and finally Mutant inspired by the legendary Teenage Mutant Hero Turtles.

Here is the link for the 80s Child Collection Page where you can get the shades mentioned, and other eyeshadows in the collection:

You can purchase these as single shadows for $9 or get the whole collection for $72, bear in mind these come in 10g jars which is why they are a little more expensive than the regular 5g shadows which are $6. So your basically getting 50% more shadow for only an extra $3 :) And GDE ships internationally too, for more information about the shipping visit this page:

Now onto the prettys!

Heres what the funky labels for this collection look like, with the special pink lids =^.^= (click on all following images to enlarge)
80s Child Shimmer, Jerrica, Brewster & Mutant Eyeshadows
Shimmer

Shimmer in the jar, no flash.
Shimmer in the jar, with soft flash.
I really can't describe how unbelievably pretty this colour is! Its a frosty white shadow jam packed with micro multi coloured shimmer particles in it such as purple, blue, green, pink & gold.
Without a base this one is pale enough for use as an awesome highlighter shade if you want a really sparkly pop of shimmer on the brow bone area.

Shimmer (left to right) : On top of Black Base, No Base & on top of
Primer with soft flash.
Shimmer (left to right) : On top of Black Base, No Base & on top
of Primer with no flash.

On top of a base the white frostyness is intensified and you can definitly still see the gorgeous shimmer particles. I also tried this shadow over a black eyeshadow and O M G soooo gorgeous!
I really am in love with this one, it makes me paint my whole face with it just so I can stare at the shimmery prettyness all day xD

Jericca

Jericca in the jar, no flash.

I got this eyeshadow because yellow is one colour of shadow I don't own a whole lot of, and it has made me realise I need more yellow in my life, haha. The thing that makes this one unique is that it has lots of aqua shimmer particles and a few pink sparks throughout.

Jerrica in the jar, soft flash.

I'm really looking forward to trying this with some blue eyeshadows, I think it would look super pretty. The yellow is a shimmery almost golden tone, when not applied over a primer or base it brings out the golden tone, but with a base its definitly more yellow toned.

Jerrica (top to bottom) : On top of Primer, then without primer
with soft flash.

Jerrica (top to bottom) : On top of Primer, then without primer
with no flash.
I couldn't stop staring at this one when I swatched it. My camera seems to have a hard time picking up the shimmer in all these eyeshadows, but on the skin they really stand out and glimmer when the light catches them.

Brewster

Brewster in the jar, with no flash.

Brewster in the jar, soft flash.
This is a stunning pinky coral shade with aqua sparkles throughout. I could eat this colour its that good! Another one of those shades I don't have a lot of but will soon be getting more of after purchasing this one.
Brewster (top to bottom) : On top of Primer, then without primer
with soft flash.
Without a base this one is a more peachy toned coral made really special with the little aqua sparkles, no matter what angle or lighting you look at this one from they really stand out. Then when you pop iton top of a base....Wow! It brings out an awesome pink tone out in the shadow that brings out the sparkles even more. This would look amazing on the eyelid on its own with just some black eyeliner on the lid and waterline.

Brewster (top to bottom) : On top of Primer, then without primer
with no flash.

Mutant

Mutant in the jar, no flash.

This colour is Special and mega awesome. Its a beautiful green shadow that has a slightly golden sheen to it and is loaded with red, blue, green and orange sparkles. Its by far the prettyest bright green I own!

Mutant in the jar, soft flash.
When I applied it without a base it has that gorgeous golden sheen to it. The sparkles in this one are a little less noticable, but still create a gorgeous shimmery effect. On top of a base the green is a lot brighter, and the golden sheen is less obvious but with the tiny flecks of coloured sparkles running through it.
Mutant (left to right) : On top of Primer, then without primer
with soft flash.
On top of a base the green is a lot brighter, and the golden sheen is less obvious but with the tiny flecks of coloured sparkles running through it. I think this is one of the must have shades of this collection!
Mutant (left to right) : On top of Primer, then without primer
with no flash.

Overall, all 4 of these shadows are gorgeous. I definetely need to get some of the others in the collection at a later date! The other one I really wanted is Vanity which is inspired by The Smurfs and is a really vibrant bright blue with silver sparkles. I'll have to get that one next time I order from GDE :D.
Shimmer & Mutant are my favourites of the ones I purchased, but they are all equally as beautiful. Whats best of all is all the GDE eyeshadows apply very easily and have great staying power, and there is a huge range of shades to choose from!
If you haven't purchased any GDE products, you don't know what your missing...quick go order now! Haha :) Below is a link to the homepage where there are links to all the different categories and collections:

Stay tuned for the next two posts where I'll have swatches of the Art Deco &Twilight inspired Twi-Shadow collection! And also here are links to my other GDE swatch posts:

Sleek Graphite Palette Swatches!

Hey!
I'm back again with another lot of swatches, this time for the Sleek Graphite Palette.

First things first...If you love grey and purple, you'll really like this palette, because aside from the two highlight shades the rest of the shadows are varying shades of these colours.

This is a stunning pinky coral shade with aqua sparkles throughout. I could eat this colour its that good! Another one of those shades I don't have a lot of but will soon be getting more of after purchasing this one.

with soft flash.
